basic stuff , then we will tech you things you probably never heard of! So sign up for physical education now!

Language Classes
1. Introductory Samoan I (10:00 to 11:00)Instructor: TBA
Location: Tree HouseMax class size: 10Class will provide non-Native speakers and novice with basic course in Samoan language,
including alphabet, simple words, phrases.
2. Advanced Samoan Language I
(9:00 to 10:00)Instructor: TBA
Location: Under large Mango tree
Max class size: no limit.Class intended for those with basic competency in Samoan language but who desire to learn the
chiefly language commonly referred to as the Gagana Faaaloalo. Participants to learn protocol, proverbs, faalupega, and speech
making.
Music Classes
3. Introduction to Ukulele I
(9:00 to 10:00) + (10:00 to 11:00)
Instructor: Dean Sooalo
Location: ground floor, Elia and Sami's house
Max class size: 5 per class
Class will provide participants with introductory course on how to play simple songs, melodies, etc., using the ukulele.
Participants will learn to strum and to pick.
4. Introduction to Bass Guitar I
(9:00 to 10:00) + (10:00 to 11:00)
Instructor: Geoffry Iose
Location: under tent , Barry and Manu's house
Max class size: 5 per classClass will provide participants with introductory course on how to play simple songs, melodies,
etc., using the bass guitar. Participants will learn to play simple bass lines to Motown tunes, other tunes.

Class will provide participants with introductory course on how to play chess and how to develop and employ various chess
strategies.
6. Lei making

Learn how to sew paper leis like Grandma Solomuli used to sew.
7. Traditional Farming Methods and Techniques
(9:00 to 10:00)
Instructor: Elia SooaloLocation: various locations, meet at umala garden
Max class size: 5
Learn about traditional Samoan staple crops such as talo, umala, fai, and ulu. Learn about how to plant, maintain, and
harvest these wonderful crops. Participate in planting or caring for some of these staple items.

Please sign up with our excursion coordinator, ______________, if you plan on going on either of these excursions. Everyone
